Udhagamandalam, better known as Ooty is in the Tamil Nadu state, south of India. It is also known as the queen of hill stations. It is surrounded by the famous Nilgiris Hills. Journey from Bangalore to Ooty covers the home of tigers, leopards and many more wild animals and birds - Bandipur forest(Karnataka) and Mudumalai forest(Tamilnadu).
The tourist attractions here are the Ooty lake, Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, Toda Huts, Wax world, Deer Park and many more. In the evening, you can enjoy shopping food spices and homemade chocolates – Ooty’s speciality in the local market.
Train journeys are fun here. You can book online tickets through IRCTC website. If the tickets are not available then you can travel in a general coach too. You can get the general ticket at the counter at railway station
Pykara Lake and Pykara waterfall can be covered on the way from Bangalore to Ooty. It is less explored and more beautiful than the other spots.
The Pine forest adds immense scenic beauty to Ooty. Perfect to picturise a romantic melodious song.
In the evening, you can enjoy a less crowded market. The market is full of home made chocolates, food spices, clothes etc.
